About Us

Steve Elliot is a highly experienced Administrative Law Judge and Mediator at the Texas State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH). With over thirty years of legal practice, Steve has been working as a mediator for five years. He completed his mediation training at the Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution at the University of Texas. Known for his calm demeanor, impartiality, and sense of humor, Steve founded Elliot Mediation ATX, LLC in 2024.

Steve's legal expertise spans various fields including healthcare, education, insurance, employment, disability rights, and civil rights. He embarked on his legal career after graduating with honors from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1994. Additionally, he holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. His professional journey has taken him from Minnesota to Texas, where he moved in 2003. Apart from his professional endeavors, Steve has been actively involved in the community as a scout leader and little league baseball coach.
